Obituary for Anna Mae Cipollini (1929-2022)
Anna Mae Cipollini, age 93, of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, with loving family members at her bedside. Born in Bridgeport, Anna Mae was the daughter of the late Paul and the late Susan (nee Surovec) Smith, the devoted wife for over 60 years of the late Augustus M. “Gus” Cipollini, Sr., the loving mother of the late Mark (JoAnne) Cipollini, Anita (the late Ken) Cipollini, Anthony “Tony” Cipollini, Augustus “Gus” (Suzanne) Cipollini, Jr., Paul Cipollini and Susan (Vince) Skahan, the proud grandmother of Tim, Paul, Kelly, Noelle, Christine, Brian, Olivia and Sarah and the adoring great-grandmother of Natasha and her soon to be born second great-granddaughter. In addition, Anna Mae had 4 brothers, the late Edward (Theresa) Smith, the late Paul Smith, who passed at the age of 17, her 2 late infant brothers, Paul and Joseph Smith and 2 sisters, the late Mary Jane (the late Steve) Kontra and the late Doris (John) Doran.
Mrs. Cipollini was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1946 and went on to become a telephone operator with Bell Telephone for many years. She was one of the founding members of Mother of Divine Providence Church and was known in the church community for having strong faith, especially her devotion to the Blessed Mother. At M.D.P., Anna Mae was a member of the Sodality Group, helped out with the Bingo games and did volunteer work at the school and the library. Many times she could be found on the sidelines at a football game cheering for her children! Anna also enjoyed bowling and in her younger days, playing volleyball and basketball.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, April 2, where the family will receive guests from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. and her Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
