Obituary for Anne T. Makoid (1936-2020)

Anne T. Makoid, age 84, of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2020.  Anne was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 3rd, 1936 , the daughter of the late Francis Timlin and the late Rosalie DeArmond Timlin. She was a hard-working and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always had a smile and a hello to everyone she encountered. Anne is survived by her sons, Chris Makoid (the late Maureen) and Timothy Makoid (Kelly), her brother Gerald Timlin, her sister Frances Hamilton (Jack), her grandchildren, Michael Billera-Smith (Brittany), Jessica Smith, Edward Makoid and James Smith and her great-grandchildren, Braxton Billera-Smith, Beckett Billera-Smith and Lilly Carter as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband, the late Edward Joseph Makoid, who passed in 1981.

Anne was a long-time and devout member of Mother of Divine Providence Church who loved going to the beach in Ocean City, NJ, hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners, her job for over 20 years at the Upper Merion High School administration building, where she was the “voice on the phone” for all high school info, her part-time work at 2 doctor’s practices in King of Prussia and her Phillies, Flyers and Eagles. She had also worked as a receptionist at Bell Telephone for 14 years.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Monday, August 24, 10 a.m. at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
