Obituary for Anthony J. Lewullis, Jr. (1942-2021)

Anthony J. Lewullis, Jr., age 79, of Bridgeport, affectionately known as “Tony” or “GPT”, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Wayne Center. Born in Girardville, Anthony was the son of the late Anthony J. Lewullis, Sr. and the late Theresa (nee Manchese) Lewullis, the beloved step-father of Melissa (Nick) Gangone, the cherished brother of the late Antoinette (Joe) Bogden, adoring grandfather of Mia Spiron, and the proud “Uncle” of his “niece” and Goddaughter Lisa Steele and his ”nephew” Michael Gorski. Lisa and Michael are Anthony’s best friend, the late Leonard Gorski’s children.

Anthony was a graduate of Norristown High School, Class of 1960 and then served our country in The U.S. Army from 1962 until 1965 in Korea. While in the Army, Anthony earned the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the signal corps. After the Army, Anthony attended trade school and later became a draftsman, working for Machined Metals Manufacturing, Inc. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed his weekly shopping trips, spending warm evenings on the porch with neighbors and cherished the times that he spent traveling and vacationing with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Anthony’s Memorial Mass on Friday, November 5, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Frackville, PA at a later date.
