Beatriz Lacsamana Aquino, age 81, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, USA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Jefferson Abington Hospital. Born in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines, Beatriz, the youngest of the four children, was the daughter of the late Judge Juan P. Aquino and the late Doña Mercedes (Nee Lacsamana) Aquino, the cherished sister of Atty Manuel Aquino, Mercedita Aquino and Carmelita Aquino Astom, and the proud and loving Aunt of Maria Christina, Albert, Juan Carlos, Leon, Emmanuel, John, Ferdinand and Carmela. In addition, Beatriz leaves behind her sister-in-law Edna Alviar Aquino and brother in Law Dr. Fernando Astom. Bea is survived by her best friend, Placer Gigantone.
Beatriz was a very well-educated woman, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and graduating Cum Laude from College of the Holy Spirit in 1962. She went on to have a very fulfilling career as an accountant, working for many years with Sun Oil Company, until she retired in her middle 50’s. After leaving Sun Oil, Beatriz became a Eucharistic Minister at St. Helena Church in Blue Bell, PA. In her spare time, Beatriz enjoyed going to the casino with friends, for some casual relaxation and the thrill of competition. She also was a big fan of the Philadelphia 76ers, Eagles and Phillies.
Relatives and friends are invited to St. Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 on Monday, December 4, 2023, where her family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. and her Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Lingsat Cemetery, Zone 7A Brgy. San Fernando, La Union Philippines. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to St. Helena Church at the above address. Arrangements are by The Bernard S.
