Obituary for Bethilda G. Shewchuk (1958-2020)

Bethilda “Beth” G. Shewchuk, age 62, of Narvon, PA and formerly of Honeybrook, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital. Born in Ridley Park, Bethilda was the loving daughter of Dorothy Sanders Ginter and the late Louis Fink Ginter, the devoted wife of the late Michael J. Shewchuk, who passed in 1986, she was also a devoted fiancee to Michael Madarra who passed in 2009. She was the proud mother of Paul I. Shewchuk (Jo Ross), Todd Michael Shewchuk (Missy) and Nichole Lynn Shewchuk and the adoring Grandmother of Annika Fenstermacher, Michael Shewchuk, Dameon Galbraith, William Fream and Thomas Shewchuk. Beth was also the cherished step-mother of Michelle L Fenstermacher (Bill) and the beloved sister of Ellen Bonds (the late Clete), John Ginter (Liz), Craig Ginter (Diane) and Louis Ginter (Renee). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Paulette Moyer (Ken) and Shirley Beall (the late Paul).

Mrs. Shewchuk was a graduate of Great Valley High School, Class of 1976 and went on to earn her Bachelors of  Liberal Arts degree, with a Minor in Sociology from Villanova University in 2009. She was a devout member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Beth loved helping people and worked as a case worker for Community Youth & Women’s Alliance of Coatesville, as well as, driving a school bus for special needs children. Her free time was devoted to caring for her grandchildren and practicing the art of pysanky.

Due to current conditions a private funeral and burial will be held.
