Obituary for Carol A. Flynn (1947-2023)

Carol A. Flynn, age 75, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at home with loving family at her bedside. Born in Norristown, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Edward J. Novitski and the late Lucy Rose (nee Amato) Novitski, the loving mother of Jennifer (Carl) Yacoub of Newark, DE, the cherished sister of Cathy (Richard) Decker of Devon, PA and the adoring grandmother of Cydnee Yacoub, Aidan Yacoub and Madelyn Yacoub. In addition to her family, Carol is survived by her beloved companion of the past 30 years, Alfred Nawrocki.

Carol was a long time and devout member of Sacred Heart Church. She attended Owen J. Roberts High School and then transferred to Upper Merion High School, graduating with the Class of 1965. She was a very active woman, working for The Ground Round and cleaning houses, until she started working at Prudential Insurance for 5 years and then as an administrative assistant for Pennoni Associates for almost 20 years until her retirement, due to her declining health in 2021. Carol enjoyed watching and playing softball, going bowling, caring for her cats, visiting the bayside of Brigantine and toiling for hours in her beautiful gardens. Her real passion was spending quality time with her loving daughter and her cherished grandchildren, watching them all grow up.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, where Carol’s viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be after Mass in St. Augustine Cemetery.
