Obituary for Christopher J. Maiden, Sr. (1968-2023)
Christopher Joseph Maiden, Sr., age 55, of Lansdale, PA, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Born in Norristown, Christopher was the beloved son to the late John Maiden, Sr. and the late Marianne (nee Nawrocki) Maiden, the devoted husband, for 26 years, to Jennifer (nee McBride) Maiden, the loving father to Amber Maiden of Astoria, NY, and Christopher Joseph Maiden, Jr. of Lansdale and the cherished brother to John Maiden, Jr. of Plattsburgh, NY, Kevin (Heather) Maiden of Pennsburg, PA and Brian (Gina) Maiden of King of Prussia, PA. In addition, Christopher was the proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
After Christopher graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School, he went on to study and get his degree from Williamson College of the Trades. He was a well-respected member of his community, helping whenever and wherever he could. He had a vast knowledge of all trades. He was the guy to call whenever you needed a hand, especially fixing or repairing something. During the covid pandemic lockdown in April of 2020, Christopher dressed up as the Easter Bunny and went around the local neighborhoods on a fire truck, to help the community get through the Easter season. He enjoyed spending time with his friends on their poker nights, going to the beach, classic cars and motorcycles, having soft pretzels with a refreshing glass of ice tea and most of all spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446 on Saturday, June 17, where his family will greet guests from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. followed by his Memorial Mass, beginning at 10 a.m. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
