David "DJ" D. Henderson

David "DJ" Henderson Jr., 45, of King of Prussia, PA, husband of Clare Henderson (nee Sauser), passed away after a courageous battle against cancer on July 7, 2023, at Penn Hospital in Philadelphia surrounded by his loving family.

DJ is survived by his loving wife Clare, his children Ryan and Alexandria, parents Patti Henderson-Gonzalez and David Henderson, stepparents Pete Gonzalez and Lorraine Henderson, his siblings Kira Ziebis and Kendra Lutz (Chris), stepbrother Carlo Russo (Charity), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

DJ was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He married his wife Clare in 2011. Together they raised two beautiful children who were actively involved in their school activities and sporting teams. You could often find DJ at the baseball field cheering on Ryan and Alex, and spending time with his friends and extended family.

DJ graduated from Roman High School in Philadelphia. He was a competitive athlete and spent much of his youth and adult years playing baseball and basketball at Houston Playground in Roxborough. He was passionate about basketball, golf, darts, cornhole, and the annual Leisure Sports festival with his friends RJ Esbensen and Jeff Kemm.  He especially loved to find unique breakfast spots with his friend Mary Kate McNamara.

DJ had a successful career in software sales and in the last few years became a strong advocate for the fight against Sarcoma Cancer.

One of DJ’s favorite artists is The Weeknd, to quote from one of his songs “Save your tears for another day”

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Henderson family on Friday, July 21st from 8:30am-10:00am in the conservatory at the Desmond Malvern- 1 Liberty Blvd. Malvern, Pa
