Elaine Rossi-Mateja Obituary

Obituary for Elaine  Rossi-Mateja  (1951-2022)
Elaine was a beloved wife, mother and sister. Born in Philadelphia, Elaine was the daughter of the late Frank Rossi and the late Lucia Cusani Rossi.  She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Stanley, her adorable daughter Nicole (James) and her admired older sister Ann Almond (Tony).

Elaine was a graduate of Girl’s High School in Olney and went on to earn her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Textile College.

She was a lover of laughter, the Golden Girls, giving the best kisses and most of all, her family.  Elaine remained a warrior throughout her 20 year battle with multiple sclerosis.  She always reminded us that positive thinking is the most important gift we have.  She was the sunshine in our day, the love that filled our hearts and the most beautiful person we had the privilege to call our own.

Thank you for being a friend. Traveled down the road and back again.  Your heart is true, you’re a pal and a confidant.  And if you threw a party- invited everyone you knew. You would see the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say- thank you for being a friend- and our greatest love.

Relatives and friends are invited to The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, 610-275-6385, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., on Saturday, April 9, where the family will greet guests from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 30 South 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
