Obituary for Frances J. Riegner (1940-2023)

Frances Joanne Riegner, age 82, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Suburban Woods Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Norristown, Frances was the daughter of the late Michael Slavick and the late Mary (nee Mlynek) Slavick, the devoted wife of the late John Riegner, the loving mother of Michael Riegner, the proud grandmother of Felicia Riegner and the adoring great-grandmother of Chelsea Greer. In addition, Frances had 4 siblings. Sadly, she is only survived by her sister, Kathy “Cookie” (William) Conicelli and was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Slavick and Bernard (the late Florence) Harrington and her sister, Mary Harrington.

Frances, a long time and devout member of Sacred Heart Church, was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1958 and went on to a 40 year career working and managing Franzone’s Pizzeria in Bridgeport, finally retiring in 2003. She loved watching and cheering for The Phillies, as well as, playing bingo with Chelsea, going on numerous bus trips to the shore casinos and camping with her friends.
