Obituary for Francis A. Miscioscia (1933-2021)

Francis A. Miscioscia, age 87, of Norristown, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Norristown, PA. Born in Norristown and raised in Conshohocken, Francis was the son of the late Joseph Miscioscia and the late Carmella (nee Minisci) Miscioscia, the devoted husband of the late Shirley (nee Smith) who passed in 1985, the loving Father of Francis C. (Suzannne) Miscioscia of King of Prussia and Joseph A. (Laura) Miscioscia of Spring City, the loving grandfather of Adam, Shawn(Stephanie), Alyssa(Dillon) Hagy, Joey, Amanda, Brianna and Jessica Miscioscia, and the cherished brother of Lena (George) Zinni  of Conshohocken, Sara(Frank) DelPizzo of East Norriton and Charles (Frances) Miscioscia of Wynnewood and the late Mary (the late Robert) Richardson.

Francis was a graduate of Conshohocken High School, Class of 1951, and worked for many years as an auto parts manager at several locations, including Johnson Thomas Cadillac, Henry Paul Cadillac and Armen Cadillac before he finished his career at Shorty’s, where he was for 4 years and retired in 2001 at the age of 66. He was a long-time and devout member of Holy Saviour Church since 1962. At the church, Francis braided palms and helped out with the church’s Bingo Nights as well as their Feast. He was involved with Boy Scouts for his sons and was a Kenrick High School Band Parent for 6 years. His hobbies included camping, coin collecting, flowers and gardening, breakfast club with his friends, but he was all about time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday, February 27 to his viewing, starting at 10 a.m. and his Funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401.  The family would appreciate memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association 225 N.
