Gerald Vincent Kulp, Jr., age 69, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2020 at home. Born in Norristown, he was the loving son of the late Gerald V. Kulp, Sr. and the late Isabella Barbara (nee DeFrancesco) Kulp and the beloved brother of Warren (Nancy) Kulp and Carol Ann (Thomas) McCarter. He is also survived by his 2 nephews, 1 niece and 6 great-nieces and great- nephews, that he cherished. They affectionately referred to him as “U.B.”, Uncle Buck! He will also be missed by his dog “Lucy”. Gerald referred to himself as her doorman.
Gerald was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1969 and then completed his 4 years as a journeyman, learning to be a tool and die maker. He worked for Thermal Engineering in Royersford for 25 years, retiring at age 64. A true believer in God, Family and Country, Gerald was a devout, long-time member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, a lifetime and dedicated member of King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company and Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, The N.R.A. and The H.O.G. At V.F.V.F.C., they said “where the Buck stops here”. He enjoyed being with his family, socializing at both firehouses, as well as at The A.O.H. and V.F.W., deep sea fishing and hunting, and was the President of The 10 Star Sportsman Club. During quiet times, he was a voracious reader of hardback novels.
