Helen S. Klocko, affectionately known as “Aunt Helen”, age 93, formerly of Bridgeport and more recently of Schwenksville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Greenfield Senior Living, where she had been a resident for the past few years. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Helen was the beloved daughter, and last living child of the late John Klocko, Sr. and the late Rose (Gleba) Klocko. Helen was predeceased by all 6 of her siblings, the late Stanley Wirwas, the late Mary (Hinkle) Hickey, the late Anthony Klocko, the late Jane Campbell, the late John Klocko, Jr. and the late Walter Klocko but is survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews, including JoAnn (Hinkle) Gadzicki & her husband Richard, who she lived with in Bridgeport, a great-niece and 2 great-nephews.
Miss Klocko was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and their Rosary Society and also was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1949. While in high school, she was in the Art Club and Drama Club, as well as being on the Yearbook Committee. She went on to have a very fulfilling career as a loan officer, and later as the President’s secretary, with Bridgeport National Bank (Fidelity Bank) for over 30 years, retiring from the bank in the early 90’s. After she left the bank, Helen worked for a few years as a clerk at Bridgeport Pharmacy. Many will remember her as being a very quiet and shy woman, who with all her artistic talent, could paint, bake, sew, cook…”she could do it all”! Often could be found enjoying times at a casino or playing the lottery. She will be sorely missed!
Relatives and friends are invited to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 502 Ford Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405, on Friday, February 9, 2024, where the family will greet guests from 9 a.m. until her Memorial Mass begins at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
