Obituary for Jacob Wm. Schroeder (2001-2023)
Jacob William Schroeder, age 22, of Norristown, passed away tragically on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Born in Bryn Mawr, “Jake” was the beloved son of William E. Schroeder III and Cherie (Nee Caruso) Schroeder, the loving father of Cheyenne Elizabeth Schroeder, the precious brother of Anthony Caruso and Morgan Schroeder and the cherished grandson of the late William E. Schroeder, Jr., Catherine Schroeder, the late Anthony V. Caruso and Judi Caruso. In addition, Jacob is survived by Cheyenne’s mother, Taya Outar.
Jacob was affectionately known by some family members as “Scooter” and was educated at Buxmont Academy and then North Montco Technical Career Center. He became an accomplished, self-employed landscaper and arborist. He attended St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and was known as a hard working young man who would always help others in need. He was quick witted and could bring a smile to your face, enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and landscaping but his true passion was spending time with his daughter, Cheyenne, who thought of him as her superhero.
Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday, June 24, to St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA 19403, where his family will greet guests from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. and his Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow the service at A.O.H. Hibernian Hall, 342 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA 19405. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to GoFundMe, https://gofund.me/1625549a , to help cover cost for funeral and Memorial Service and start an Education Fund for Cheyenne Schroeder, Jacob’s daughter. Arrangements are by The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA, 610-275-6385, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com
