Obituary for Lorraine Alexander (1944-2023)
Lorraine (Prostack) Alexander, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Louise and the late Stephen Prostack. She is survived by her husband Barry, son Jeffrey (Steve Stadnicki) Alexander, daughters Diane Harris and Barbara (Andrew) Haimbach. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Hannah, Rebecca and Anthony, who were the loves of her life. Also surviving are her brother Richard and two nieces, Amanda and Jessica.
Lorraine graduated Sacred Heart Grade School and Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1962. After graduation, she went to work for Lee’s Carpets. She left Lee’s when she started her family. She returned to work in1992 as an aide at The Goddard School, and stayed for 9 years working at several locations. She also spent several months at Kindercare, but left to care for her grandkids. In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed sewing, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.
Family and friends are invited to Sacred Heart Church, where she was a lifetime member, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Pa 19405 on Saturday, November 11, where her viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
