Obituary for Martha F. Manton (1939-2023)
Martha Fisher Manton, age 83, of Swedesburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023 in East Norriton. Born in Princeton, New Jersey, Martha was the beloved daughter of the late Matthew Rodweller and the late Emma (nee Servis) Rodweller. Martha was married to William Manton, Sr. and was the loving mother of the late William Manton, Jr., Martha Arena, Alice Figueroa, Eileen Manzo and Matthew Manton, the proud grandmother of Dana, Carol, Christina, Felicia, Johnathan, Taylor, Raymond, Matthew, Jr., Nicole and David, the adoring great-grandmother of Alyssa, Aleena and Arianna and the cherished sister of Michael Rodweller, John Rodweller, James Rodweller, Matthew Rodweller and Rose Mary Yeck.
Martha was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School, Class of 1958 and lived a simple life as a homemaker and raising her children. She was a long time and devout member of Sacred Heart Church who loved taking care of her birds and squirrels or enjoying the Lenten dinners from The Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company. It was always said that she deserved better than she got and she would go directly to heaven.
