Obituary for Mary Ann Barainyak (1957-2024)
Mary Ann Barainyak, age 66, of Swedeland, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 18, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Frank “Pitt” Barainyak and the late Sarah (nee Haines) Barainyak, the cherished sister of Frank (Peggy) Barainyak, John (Joan) Barainyak, George Barainyak, William (Tracy) Barainyak, Paul (Beth) Barainyak, Denise (Jozef) Bobok, and Janine (John) Samiec and the beloved aunt of her 11 nieces and nephews, Frank, Greg, Lindsay, Ashley, Ryan, Lauren, Sarah, Anna, Johnny, Jake and Josh.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1975 and continued her education by earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Cabrini University. Mary Ann was employed by Glaxo Smith Kline Plc for over 25 years, working on their packaging fill line, until her retirement. She was a former member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church and their Ladies Guild, until it closed and she became a member of Sacred Heart Church. Mary Ann enjoyed crocheting and shopping on HSN, QVC and Amazon. She baked the best pizzelles and made sure she had stacks wrapped & ready for the people she loved. Friends and family will remember her as a very kind and caring woman, who not only cared for her father for many years, but lived with her brother George and took care of her cats “Frisco” and “Patches” and her beloved Chihuahua “Chico”.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA 19405 on Friday, March 22, 2024, where her family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. and her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m..
