Obituary for Michael J. Chudoba (1940-2020)

Michael J. Chudoba, age 79, of Souderton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020. Born in Norristown, Michael was the son of the late Peter Chudoba and the late Mary (nee Hinda) Chudoba, the loving brother of the late Andrew M. Chudoba and the late Maryanne Rocus, the cherished uncle of Natalie (Tyrone) Beers of Hatfield, the late Robert Rocus, and David Michael (Christina) Rocus of Barto, and the adoring Great-uncle of Victoria Rocus, Christiana Rocus, and Mason Beers.

Mr. Chudoba was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1958, and went on to earn his B.S. in Physics from Ursinus College in 1963. After finishing college, he proudly joined The U.S. Army, serving our country from 1964 until 1966. He achieved the rank of SP4 E-4 and was awarded The Good Conduct Medal as well as a Badge in Marksmanship. Michael became an electrical engineer for the US Navy, working for many years at the Warminster base. Upon its closing, he transferred to The Naval Oceanographic Office in Mississippi, where he ended his career. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed working in his garden as well as spending time woodworking and carving. He will also be remembered as a long time member of Presentation of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lansdale.

Due to current conditions, Michael’s Liturgy and interment will be private. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
