Obituary for Patricia Ann Walker (1944-2021)

Patricia Ann Walker of King of Prussia, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, with loving family at her bedside. Born in Florida, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Clara (nee Wolfrom) Walker, the niece of Janet (the late Vincent) Wolfrom, and in addition is survived by several cousins that she cherished.

Miss Walker was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1962 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Rosemont College in 1966. After finishing her education, Patricia worked for the Veteran’s Administration in Philadelphia for many years as a computer programmer, until her early retirement. She was an extremely charitable woman, a very devout Catholic, pro-life supporter, and a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church. Patricia also often attended Sacred Heart Church. At Mother of Divine Providence, Patricia was a catechist and a daily communicant, she was very active at the church, even helping with the cleaning. Her travels, showing her deep faith, included a trip to Fatima. She was devoted to The Blessed Mother as well as her own mother. She cared for her mother for over five years after she suffered a stroke.

Recently, Patricia attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 502 Ford Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 29 at noon. There will be a calling time prior to Mass, at The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp.,PA 19405, 610-275-6385, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., also on Saturday, May 29, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery will follow the Mass. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, at the above address, in lieu of flowers.
