Obituary for Raymond “Ray” J. Milke (1940-2021)

Raymond J. Milke, age 80 of King of Prussia, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, Raymond was the son of the late Adolph and Catherine (nee Senkow) Milke, the devoted husband of Sara “Sue” (nee Ruttman)  for over 60 years, the loving father of Raymond J. Jr. (Lou Ann) of Plymouth Meeting and Michael P. Sr. (Debbie) of Bridgeport, the cherished grandfather of Michael  (Amy), Andrew, Caitlin (Fiance’ Nick), Zachary, Joshua and Jacob and the adoring great-grandfather of Michael P. III.  Ray is also survived by his brother Carl, his sister-in-law Rose Ruttman (the late William), his brother-in-law John Ruttman (Joyce) and his many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his sister Cathleen Weinlein.

Ray was a graduate of Olney High School, Class of 1958 and retired from Johnson Matthey. He was an avid car buff, who enjoyed drag racing and participating in car shows. He also enjoyed collecting die cast cars and traveling to Hot Wheel conventions throughout the United States, but mostly loved being with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited on Thursday, May 20, to his viewing from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by his funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. at The Bernard S.
