Obituary for Robert M. Grohoski (1949-2024)
Robert Michael Grohoski, age 74, of East Norriton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born in Phoenixville, Robert was the son of the late John Grohoski and the late Anna (nee Hretzek) Grohoski, the devoted husband of Elaine (nee Martyniuk) Grohoski since October 18, 1975 and the cherished brother of the late Walter (Barbara) Grohoski, the late Pete (Andrea) Grohoski, the late John (the late Peggy) Grohoski, Joseph (Mary) Grohoski and Mary Ann Grohoski and the proud uncle of Brian, Melissa, John, Sabrina, Vanessa, Anthony, Keith, Mark, Todd, Michelle, Lisa, Peter and Matthew.
Mr. Grohoski was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1967, and went on to be an accomplished maintenance operator for many years at Valley Maid Bachman’s and then for the next several years for Morabito Baking Company. Even after he retired from the bakery, Robert continued to work at John Kennedy Ford & Mazda, delivering cars for them.
Robert was a devout member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and also a proud member of the Bakery Workers International Union and The Polish Club in Phoenixville. He enjoyed going to casinos and collecting watches and loved his pet Cockatiel birds. It was said that he was always there when you needed him!

Murphy, F.D., www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com, where Robert’s viewings will be held, on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. followed by his Divine Liturgy, also on Saturday, starting at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, PA 19405. Interment will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
