Obituary for Stella F. Horihan (1943-2021)

Stella F. Horihan, age 78, of King of Prussia, passed away at home peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021, with loving family members at her bedside. Born in Norristown, Stella was the daughter of the late Philip Lamonte and the late Frances Sugalski Lamonte, the devoted wife, since July 19, 1958, of Lawrence Horihan, Sr., the beloved mother of Lawrence Horihan, Jr. and Deborah Ann Horihan, the loving grandmother of Nicole (Vernon) Milburn, Jonathan Senkow, Felicia Senkow, Julie Lynn (Michael) Doornbus and James Joseph Horihan and the adoring great-grandmother of Lucas Evans, Webster Senkow, Dionna Senkow, Madison Doornbus and Cailyn Doornbus.

Stella finished her education at Bridgeport High School and went on to be a service worker at Montgomery Hospital for 19 years and then continued working at The Hill for another year. She could always be found either pulling weeds and doing other yardwork or working in the kitchen, cooking both Italian and Polish foods for her family. She was a very faithful woman and a member of Church of the Saviour in Wayne.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, July 1 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. followed by her funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. at The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., www.gutkowskifuneralhome. Interment and graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 2, in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. to form the funeral procession.
