Obituary for Thomas J. Hackett (1948-2023)
Thomas J. Hackett, age 74, of Mont Clare, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Born in Norristown, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas and the late Anna H. Hackett, nèe Major. He was the loving husband of Janice Hackett, nèe Karas since 1977, and the beloved father of Kimberly Patrick and Vincent McFadden. He was also the cherished brother of Helen Sullivan and JoAnn Bono, with a niece Victoria and nephew Matthew. He is survived by his grandchildren Ashley, Joelle, Tyler, Danielle, and Dylon and his great-grandchildren Scarlet and Tori.
Thomas graduated from Upper Merion High School, Class of 1967, after attending Bridgeport High School for three years. While in high school, Tom played center field in baseball. He worked as a fork lift driver for Sears warehouse in King of Prussia for many years. He then worked at a Wawa Distribution Center as a security guard. He was a long time and devout member of Sacred Heart Church. His interests consisted of following local sports on television, and watching True Crime Series and Westerns.
