Obituary for Thomas W. Malek, Sr. (1934-2021)

Thomas Warren Malek, Sr., age 86, of Limerick, PA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 9, 2021, with his loving family at his bedside. Born in New Jersey, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas and Ruth (nee Ruffer) Malek, the devoted husband of Joan Marie (nee Knasiak), the loving father of Thomas W. Malek, Jr., Cindy Juillet, Lynn Nace and the late Todd A. Malek, the proud grandfather of his 9 grandchildren, the adoring great-grandfather of his 6 great-grandchildren and the beloved brother of Sandy Woyce.

Mr. Malek, a long-time and devout member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, earned his Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University went on to receive Masters degrees from Villanova University and Penn State University. He worked as an engineering designer for LCR Embedded Systems, Inc., an electronics manufacturer in Norristown, for over 20 years, until his retirement at the age of 80.

The family will greet guests on Wednesday, April 14, from 9:30 a.m. until his Funeral Service begins at 10:30 a.m. at The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405. Interment will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com
