Obituary for Timothy J Kane (1952-2023)

Timothy Joseph Kane, age 71, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023, after a brief illness.

He is survived by the love of his life, his life partner, Grace Diotisalvi. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon Kane and his two nieces, Maureen Gatenby and Ellen Ross.

Born in Norristown, Tim was the beloved son of the late John Jerome Kane and the late Dorothy A. (Rentschler) Kane. He was predeceased by his brother, John J. “Jack” Kane.

Tim was a Boy Scout as a youth, a 1970 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, and a 1975 graduate of Montgomery County Community College. He also continued his studies at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Tim loved history, and art. He was extremely fond of cats.  He was an avid Rock and Roll fan, enjoying concerts with his friends in his youth. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy nightly and seemed to excel at knowing the answers.  He will be remembered as having a kind soul.  Every day he woke wondering how to make life better for Grace, as she did for him.

Tim was a former member of St. Augustine Church.

 His Graveside Service will be held in St. Augustine Cemetery, where his parents and brother are buried, on Monday, November 27th at 12 noon.
