Obituary for Timothy E. Makoid (1967-2023)

Timothy E. Makoid, age 55, of Kutztown, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, Timothy was the son of the late Edward Joseph Makoid and the late Ann (nee Timlin) Makoid, the devoted husband of Kelly P. (nee Smith) Makoid, who he has known since 1979 and married in 2004, the loving father and grandfather of Michael (Brittany) Billera-Smith, Jessica (Josh) Yelinek, Edward, James, Lilly, Braxton and Beckett T.J. and the cherished brother of Chris Makoid (the late Maureen). In addition, Timothy is survived by his cherished Aunt Fran Hamilton and Uncle Jerry Timlin, as well as many beloved cousins.

Tim was a graduate of Archbishop John Carroll High School, Class of 1986 and was known as a good family man, even staying with his brother after their mother died. He never missed an opportunity to relax and enjoy watching The Eagles, Phillies and Flyers, fishing and being out in nature, restoring cars and could fix just about anything. He was also a very devout Catholic, frequently visiting The National Centre for Padre Pio, attending Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church and more recently going to St. Mary’s near his home in Kutztown.
