Obituary for Virginia A. Spitko (1932-2022)
VIRGINIA A. (HICKS) SPITKO, a resident of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2022 in Abington-Jefferson Hospital at the age of 90.
Mrs. Spitko was born on May 6, 1932 in Radiant, VA and was the daughter of the late John Samuel and Catherine Margaret (Shivick) Hicks and the loving wife of Michael A. Spitko who passed away July 23, 2021.
Mrs. Spitko was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Swedesburg. She was employed by the former Sacred Heart Hospital as an LPN in the Labor and Delivery Room. She was also employed as a cashier for the former Buckley's Pharmacy in King of Prussia and as a cashier and retailer for Boscov's Department Store of Plymouth Meeting. She enjoyed Bingo, going to the Casino, Country Music and Country Western Movies.
Surviving are 2 Sons: Robert Samuel Sandora and his wife Lynn, Michael Albert Sandora and his wife Trish and a daughter: Kathleen Anne Zadroga.
Grandchildren: Robert Sandora, Jr., Kiersten McDonald, Megan O'Connor, Chrissy Licwinko, Debbie Sandora, Toni Marie Strunk, Julie Sandora, William Heaton, and Kelly Sandora, along with 23 Great Grandchildren.
2 Sisters: Eleanor Mashman and Janice Jean Chubb.
Mrs. Spitko was preceded in death by a Son: Eugene James Sandora and a brother John Hicks.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. in Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Swedesburg.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:20 A.M. at the church.
