Obituary for William "Bill" G. Prendergast (1950-2023)

William G. Prendergast, age 73, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, with his loving family at his bedside. Born in Norristown, William was the son of the late Joseph L. Prendergast and the late Roseann (nee Dillon) Prendergast. William is survived by his children William "Jamie" , Joseph (Melissa), Daniel, Kellie and Melissa Prendergast. His two brothers, James Edward (The late Lorraine) Prendergast, the late Joseph Michael Prendergast; two sisters, Mary Beth Ryan and Geralyn (Thomas) McKernan. He was the grandfather of Vanessa, Briannah, Katelynn, Layla, Christopher and two great- grandsons.

Mr. Prendergast was a graduate of Norristown High School, Class of 1968 and will be remembered by many as the proud owner of the former restaurant, Prendy’s Place in Norristown, for many years. He then continued to further his career in the restaurant industry.  He always was the ultimate Phillies and Eagles fan, but his greatest love was for his children and grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA 19405 on Friday, October 20th,  where the family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m., followed by his Memorial Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to https://gofund.me/4c51a90f to help the family thru this.
