Obituary for Mark Raymond Johnson (1958-2020)

Mark Raymond Johnson, age 62, of Trappe, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 20, 2020. Born in Norristown, Mark was the son of the late Howard Francis Johnson and the late Rita Eleanor Rowan, the loving father of Casey Ann Johnson, the beloved brother of Rae (the late John) DiSpaldo, Eileen (Russell) Modica, Michael Johnson, Christine (Donald) Shellenberger and the late Patrick (Mari) Johnson. In addition, Mark leaves behind his 13 nieces and nephews and his 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mark, a Degreed Member of The A.O.H. Notre Dame Division 1,  went by many nicknames, “Pinkey”, Uncle Cheese Uncle Mark, Cheddar and Markey Mark. He was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1976 and also Shippensburg University, Class of 1980. At Shippensburg, he earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice. Mark worked for many years as a sales manager at a home improvement company and also did some property management work. He enjoyed listening to The Beatles, gardening, wine making and all of nature, even feeding the deer and the birds and was an avid fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams, thru good times and bad!

Mark’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 703 Green Street, Norristown, PA 19401, on Monday, July 27, 2020, beginning at 10 a.m. The family will greet guests at the church, starting at 9 a.m. on Monday. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery. The family would appreciate memorial donations to The Patrician Society, 121 E. Chestnut Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
